Maintenance Technician

Description:

Established in 1990, LGH is a leading company in the rental sector for hoisting and rigging equipment, offering equipment rentals essential for the construction, upkeep, and restoration of structures like bridges and sports stadiums.

We are currently in urgent need of someone with a knack for mechanics to become part of our team. In this role, you will be essential in the upkeep of our high-quality rental equipment, ensuring it is readily available for safe use.

In this role, you will be able to apply your expertise in mechanics to:

• Organize rental equipment requests and perform evaluations to verify adherence to our quality criteria.
• Perform the process of taking apart, identifying issues, fixing, putting back together, and examining a variety of electrical, manual, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery.
• Undertake regular preventive servicing on leased machinery.
• Utilize a forklift to facilitate the loading and unloading of delivery trucks and moving of materials around the warehouse during regular tasks.
• Operate company vehicles for the purpose of delivering rental orders safely and punctually.

Work hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday between 8:00 in the morning and 4:30 in the afternoon for full-time employment, with the possibility of occasional overtime.

The initial wage is set at $19.37 per hour

After half a year of working, you could qualify for a pay raise of $1.00 per hour, and receive yearly performance-based salary increments starting at the first year and continuing annually thereafter.

Requirements:

A high school diploma or its equivalent is necessary for educational background/training.

Experience:

• Prioritizing candidates with a strong mechanical background or inclination.
• Prior background with hand and power tools preferred.
• Experience with air hoists, comealongs, manual hoists, electric hoists, or similar rigging equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.

Certifications/Licenses:

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving history are necessary, along with the capability to comply with insurance criteria.
• DOT certification is necessary when starting a job (paid for by the company) and must be kept up-to-date during employment.

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of exerting a force of up to 50 pounds for pushing or pulling.
• Capable of lifting and transporting objects weighing up to 55 pounds.
