Pre-requisites for becoming an Assistant Director of Nursing:

• Active RN license
• Experience in an ADON or similar role for a minimum of one year is desirable

The roles involve a diverse array of tasks, with the potential for additional duties beyond what is outlined:

• Functions as an intermediary between the Director of Nursing and the nursing personnel.
• Contribute to the growth and accomplishment of the goals and objectives within the nursing department.
• Help in enacting and ensuring adherence to policies, protocols, and standards in accordance with organizational and external regulatory directives.
• Provide resident care directly as per staffing needs.
• Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all your interactions and dealings.
