Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

Description:

Since its inception in 1990, LGH has been a key player in the rental market for hoisting and rigging equipment, supplying rental solutions vital for the construction, maintenance, and refurbishment of structures like bridges and sports facilities.

An opportunity is available for an individual with strong mechanical abilities to join our team and be responsible for maintaining our excellent rental equipment to ensure its immediate availability for safe use.

You will have the opportunity to use your mechanical expertise in this role to:

• Arrange rental equipment reservations and conduct reviews to ensure they align with our quality standards.
• Take apart, troubleshoot, fix, put together, and assess a range of electrical, manually operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools.
• Implement routine proactive maintenance on rental machinery.
• Utilize forklift machinery to facilitate the movement of equipment within the warehouse and loading and unloading of delivery trucks during daily operations.
• Safely and promptly deliver rental orders using company vehicles.

This role is designated as full-time, requiring availability between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, with potential overtime as needed.

The starting salary is established at $19.37 for each hour worked

An increase in pay of $1.00 per hour could be available to you after completing six months on the job, along with yearly raises based on performance starting from the first year and continuing each year after that.

Requirements:

A high school diploma or similar certification is mandatory for education/training.

Experience:

• Candidates with a mechanical background or affinity are highly desired.
• Experience working with hand and power equipment is valued.
• While previous exposure to air hoists, comealongs, manual hoists, electric hoists, or related rigging gear is helpful, it is not a prerequisite for this position.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Having a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record is a prerequisite, along with meeting insurance underwriting criteria.
• DOT certification is a prerequisite for starting a job, and the company will cover the expenses; employees are responsible for maintaining their certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Required to have the strength to handle loads of up to 50 pounds.
• Should have the ability to lift and bear weights of up to 55 lbs.
