Field Operations Manager

Summary:

Responsibilities of the Field Operations Manager include taking charge of the development and delivery of strategic products for Airgain. They will serve as a key figure in various engineering teams, working alongside different departments within the organization. The successful applicant must have a proven track record in Project Management, particularly within the Telecommunications/Embedded product domain, and possess exceptional collaboration skills to manage important communications with internal stakeholders and external parties.

Essential Function:

• Oversee collaborative efforts at Airgain to drive the progression of products from initial planning to engineering phases, manufacturing, product launch, and post-launch maintenance
• Tasked with ensuring the successful completion of projects by meeting product requirements with excellent quality, adhering to the schedule, and managing expenses effectively
• Assuming a central position in facilitating coordination and communication among project stakeholders, including Airgain cross-functional groups, and acting as the liaison between Airgain and suppliers, partners, and customers
• Assist in guiding the internal and external project teams in making complex technical trade-offs and resolving problems through a systematic approach
• Maintain a track record of displaying excellent competence in quality and processes to achieve successful project outcomes, all the while striving to enhance company efficiency
• Supervise the partnerships with ODMs and technological allies
• Supervising project budgets includes the responsibility of monitoring and controlling the allocation of funds throughout the various phases of development, while taking the lead in steering the progression of the project through Stage/Gate and Agile/Scrum frameworks

Implement quality management methodologies like 8D, six-sigma, and root-cause analysis to improve processes and identify the underlying reasons for problems

Requirements/Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience in Wireless, Telecommunications, Embedded Systems, or a relevant field
• Preferably, a candidate with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant area would be ideal
• PMP certification (preferred)
• Proficient in overseeing all aspects of product development from inception through to post-launch maintenance
• Skilled in managing assignments related to product certification and Device-to-Cloud connectivity

Compensation:

Candidates for this full-time role can expect a base salary range of $108,000 to $131,000 annually, with the opportunity to earn an annual bonus. The position is open in Arizona, California, and Minnesota, with the compensation reflecting the prevailing market conditions in each location.

The salary scales we offer are based on multiple aspects, such as the position's requirements, location, necessary skills, education, experience, and training.

The displayed salary range on every job advertisement represents the target salary range for the initial base pay of new hires in said position across various locations in the United States, with variations based on the job location.
